Description:

An effective performance management system helps the leadership team, managers and employees communicate goals, share information, foster learning and development, and explore career progression opportunities.  Organization goals and objectives are supported on a day-to-day basis with effective employee communication designed to manage workplace conflict as it arises and with well-designed Disciplinary Action Processes and Employee Reward Programs.

This module will help you with: 

  • Developing and implementing an effective performance management system designed to transform organizational objectives into understood, measurable outcomes that define success and that are shared by employees and management.
  • Designing an Employee Recognition Program that rewards good and consistent performance and that demonstrates to employees that the organization cares about their contribution.
  • Managing conflicts in your organization by using effective communication and by dealing with complaints of harassment and problem behaviours when they arise.

A Disciplinary Action Process identifies and standardizes procedures for responding to incidents that go against company policy. To be effective, a Disciplinary Action Process must be clear, consistent and fair in its approach to implementing verbal warnings, written warnings, suspensions and dismissal.
